چکیده
This paper aimed to analyze the level of technical efficiency Brazilian federal universities, from 2012 2018, using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method, with an output-oriented DEA BCC model. Four management indicators instituted by TCU were used as inputs and two quality indicators, outputs. For that, a sample 56 universities was used. Considering standard scores, results indicated high levels during years under analysis. The average 93.7% in 2012, 17 efficient 94.5% 18 universities. 2015 2016 stood out, 28 27 respectively, whose national averages 96.1%. However, due benevolence model very small or large units, some may have been considered default. From Malmquist Index increase productivity 2.2%, which occurred greater proportion catch-up effect (1.8%) lower frontier shift (0.4%). In addition, 1.8% relative pure (1.1%) scale (0.7%). Yet, despite productivity, there is still room achieve better improvements resources, order reduce waste.

Robust efficiency in data envelopment analysis with VRS technology
One of the fundamental problems in the classic DEA is lack of ability to distinguish unit's performance scores that is considered as a disadvantage. Recently, Parkan et al. [9] tried to address this problem. They proposed to assess each unit both optimistic and pessimistic views are taken into account. In contrast to traditional evaluation, one index is considered for each unit based on the l...
متن کاملCost Efficiency Measures In Data Envelopment Analysis With Nonhomogeneous DMUs
In the conventional data envelopment analysis (DEA), it is assumed that all decision making units (DMUs) using the same input and output measures, means that DMUs are homogeneous. In some settings, however, this usual assumption of DEA might be violated. A related problem is the problem of textit{missing} textit{data} where a DMU produces a certain output or consumes a certain input but the val...

متن کاملE-DEA: Enhanced data envelopment analysis
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) has enjoyed a wide range of acceptance by researchers and practitioners alike as an instrument of performance analysis and management since its introduction in 1978. Many formulations and thousands of applications of DEA have been reported in a considerable variety of academic and professional journals all around the world. Almost all of the formulations and appl...

Understanding how teaching and research contribute to the overall efficiency of university operations is of great importance for universities to improve their performance. This paper adopts a holistic approach to evaluate the university efficiency from three perspectives including (a) the overall university operations efficiency, (b) the university teaching efficiency, and (c) the university re...
